Festivals

Yemshe Festival, observed on 5th October every year is the premier festival of the Pochury Naga Tribe of Nagaland which is celebrated to welcome the new harvest of the year’s hard labour. It is a time of great cultural and communal importance. It includes various rituals such as feasting, village cleaning, constructing resting places, and performing rites that strengthen community bond. Other festivals celebrated includes Nazu/Navü, Tsatekhu, Sahdahkhu, Yishi, Chanyathakhu, and other with its own cultural significance and traditions.
